Reception |
This platform will be an on-going communication method between the Reception Teachers and parents. In the event of a bubble or school closure, the teachers will be able to communicate on-going learning through this app. Parents will be able to communicate and evidence learning back to the teacher also. Reception parents have already received communication about how to install this app and log in. If you have any queries on this, please ask the Reception teachers or email the office. |

Year 1 - 6 |
Please look to download and install this app to a computer, laptop, tablet or smart phone that your child will be able to use if they need to isolate or we are in a bubble/school lockdown. It can also just be used in a web browser. Please explore the features. There are two main areas in their class ‘team’. Isolation Learning and Remote Learning. Please familiarise yourselves with these. Login details for these will be added to your child’s reading record. Please note that their login for this also gives them access to Office 365, which includes safe, internal-only, emailing. |

Year 1 - 6 |
This website allows the teachers to set tasks for pupils to complete online (in Maths and English). A lot of this is built around games and quizzes. Over the coming weeks, we will be familiarising the children with these resources and beginning to set some homework using EdShed. Their login details for this website will soon be added to their Reading Records. |

Year 2 - 6 |
This website and app allows the teachers to set individual times tables for the children to work on. There are loads of amazing games on TTRS that the children can use to help build their confidence. They can play games independently for practice, play against school mates or even (safely and securely) play against the rest of the world. Keep an eye out for competitions. Again, we will be beginning to set some home-tasks on this platform over the coming weeks. Their logins will soon be stored in their Reading Records. Year 1 will hopefully begin using this later in the year. |

Reception – Y6 |
Reading planet, by Rising Stars is a website that allows the teacher to set online books for the children to read. We can then set tasks from the book and monitor reading and usage. We are in very early stages of developing this at Linden, but we know that it is incredibly important that children are able to continue to read at home, even if they cannot physically take the books from school because they are unable to come in. We are hoping that we will be able to continue sending school books home with reading records, as normal. But if a child is isolating or we have to lock down for some reason, this platform will enable pupils to continue reading appropriate books. Their logins for this will soon be found in their Reading Records. |

Linden Video Conferencing Policy
Whilst a child is absent from school due to self-isolation, it is important that they continue their learning through EvidenceMe (Reception) or Microsoft Teams (Year1-6). Please see the above documents for details on how to access these. Reading daily with your child is important and hopefully your child knows their Mathletics and Time Table Rockstars login so can access activities and learning on there.
