We continue to work hard to improve our school attendance.  Since the beginning of the year, we have been closely monitoring all aspects of the children’s attendance and have noted a marked increase in the number of children arriving late for school.  Can parents be reminded that any child arriving after 9:00am will be marked as an absence for that session.  To put that into learning time lost:

• If your child is 5 minutes late every day they will miss three days of learning each year.
• If your child is 15 minutes late every day they will miss is 2 weeks of learning each year.

Please do not forget to phone the office if your child is unwell or to let us know that your child has a medical appointment within the school day.
