As a result of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, children across the country have experienced incomparable disruption to their education and learning. The Department for Education have organised specific ‘catch up’ funding to help schools to identify and address pupil’s gaps in learning that have occurred as a result of the pandemic.
Schools are allocated this catch up funding on a per pupil basis for each child from Reception through to Year 11.
This grant is only available for this 2020-21 academic year, as it is designed to lessen the effects of the disruption on children’s learning caused by COVID-19.
