Dear Parents and Carers,
Thank you so much to those of you who gave feedback on our remote learning provision through the questionnaire– there were some lovely comments and some useful suggestions on how we could further enhance it.
As a Leadership Team, we are always open to and appreciative of parent feedback and opinion and we will continue to discuss it further. We all understand what a challenging time this is for everyone and we know that supporting your children, often whilst also working yourselves, is unbelievably challenging. Thank you from all of us. I would also like to congratulate the children that remain in school. Although still in the school setting, life for these little people has also changed and they are showing great resilience.
1. Please can I remind all parents that, unless exempt, you must wearing a face covering on the school premises. This also applies to any child over 11 years.
2. Parking – we are seeing an increase in the number of parents parking on the yellow zig-zag lines or illegally outside of the school. These yellow lines indicate the length of road where stopping or waiting is strictly prohibited. This is for the safety of all pedestrians, especially our children. Please find suitable (and legal) parking on the roads surrounding school.
Thank you for your continued support and understanding.
Adult Education in Gloucester have two new wellbeing courses coming up online for parents.
Two lovely experienced tutors who can help you find a way to living calmly through these stressful times.
There is a mindfulness course in the evening, Calming the Mind from 7:30-8:30. Hopefully you will be able to have some child free time and can find new ways to relax through this course.
Calming The Mind Evening Course Information
Happier and Calmer helps explore the science behind feeling better. It is running termly, starting again on 24 February.
Happier and Calmer Wellbeing at Home Course Information
Please find attached a leaflet that gives information on a technique we have been using in school to support children understand their feelings. This was sent out in September 2020 but in the current circumstances we thought it would be a helpful reminder in how you can support your children at home to learn about their emotions and react to situations in appropriate ways. We hope that you find some of advice on the leaflet useful and something that you can use with your child at home.
