- Dates for your Diary
Dear Parents and carers,
I would like to start by saying a huge thank you everyone who came to support our Sports Day yesterday. Both the morning and afternoon events were such a success and it was lovely to see so many of you there. The Key Stage 2 parent races were definitely a highlight!
A special shout out needs to go to the Year 5 children who completed their Bikeability training last week – the lead instructor commented that the behaviour and the listening skills of each of the groups was excellent and that they represented the school exceptionally well.
We are now whizzing towards the end of our school year, but still have so much left to look forward to. Please check our diary dates for the upcoming events. End of year pupil reports will be sent home in the final week of term. If your child walks or rides home on their own, the report will be held in the school office for collection.
Have a great weekend everyone!
Lucy Collins

Year 5
Some of our Year 5s took to the roads in beautiful weather and all acheived their Level 2 Bikeability - well done Year 5s and don't forget your ABCDs!
Year 3
Year 3 had a wonderful visit to the Corinium Museum in Circencester. It was incredible to explore artefacts from the Stone, Bronze and Iron Ages and to learn about how they were used. The woolly mammoth’s tusk was huge!
During the workshop, the children were able to handle lots of secondary sources to help them discover more about Pre-historic Britain, they even had chance to dress up as hunter gatherers and Iron Age farmers! We are now looking forward to continuing our history topic back in school.
Reception Dentist Visit
This week we had a very exciting visit from a parent who is an expert in teeth! We learned about how to brush our teeth most effectively- for two whole minutes twice a day, everyday with out rinsing with water or mouthwash afterwards. We also found out that we should eat our chocolate and treat foods after each of our 3 meals, instead of as a snack between them. The children had lots of fun guessing how much sugar was in each food and drink and telling the zippy monster what he should eat and when! Everyone went home with a change for life information booklet (with app info) and their own tube of children’s toothpaste.
Blackbridge Athletics
Some of our children represented Linden School at the Blackbridge Athletics event. They did us proud - well done!
Reception
Reception had a fantastic time participating in their first every sports day!
The children had the best time, learning new skills and team building. An adventure before their next steps into secondary school.
