Welcome back
I hope you all had a happy and peaceful break. On behalf of all the staff, thank you for all the wonderful cards and gifts we received at the end of last term. We were all very grateful.
A new term and a new year. We are tentatively easing back into school life and Key Stage 1 had a fantastic time on their Everyman trip to the Jack and the Beanstalk pantomime – they were so excited.
Can I please remind you to ensure that the office have your correct contact details. If you are unsure, please have a chat with one of the office staff.
As always, if you have any questions or concerns please make an appointment to see me through the school office.
Best Wishes
Lucy Collins
Headteacher
Changes to the self-isolation period for those who test positive for COVID-19
From Monday 17 January, people who are self-isolating with COVID-19 will have the option to reduce their isolation period after 5 full days if they test negative with a lateral flow device (LFD) test on both day 5 and day 6 and they do not have a temperature. For example, if they test negative on the morning of day 5 and the morning of day 6, they can return to their education or childcare setting immediately on day 6.
The first test must be taken no earlier than day 5 of the self-isolation period, and the second must be taken the following day. All test results should be reported to NHS Test and Trace.
If the result of either of their tests is positive, they should continue to self-isolate until they get negative results from two LFD tests on consecutive days or until they have completed 10 full days of self-isolation, whichever is earliest.
Anyone who is unable to take LFD tests or anyone who continues to have a temperature will need to complete the full 10 day period of self-isolation.
Further information on self-isolation for those with COVID-19 is available.

My name is Otto and I am the Linden Primary School Dog Mentor. I am a three-year-old Cockerpoo and live with Mrs Collins and her family. I am a cockapoo, a cross between a cocker spaniel and a poodle. This means that I shed little to no fur, making it highly unlikely that anyone will be allergic to me.I am new to the school (January 2022) but have passed my Dog Mentor Programme assessment with flying colours. Mrs Collins and Mrs Matthews have both received training to be my handlers in school.
I plan on keeping my section of the website up-to-date with comments and photographs documenting my time in school.
Please take a look!

If you have any further questions regarding my role within the school please contact either Mrs Collins or Mrs Matthews via the school office.
