Parent's Evening
By now, you should have received your child's report via email.
Please email [email protected] or the class email if you no longer require your parent's evening appointments, which will be via Teams.
Data Collection Sheets
Over the next few weeks you will be asked to confirm the contact information we hold for you - please ensure you get this back to us as soon as possible - due to covid we have not been able to get these important documents to you to check, and your information may be very out of date. Please always ensure we have the most up to date contact information for you.
School Photographs
Your child should have brought home a proof card for their school photograph.
All orders are placed directly with Kittle online. If you have any queries, please call them on: 01245 401313
The deadline for returning your school photo orders (to get free delivery to the school) is Friday 5th November. This is to allow time for Kittle Photographic to produce the photographs and get them to us for handing out. After the 5th November orders may still be made online, however postage will need to be paid for delivery to your home. The photograph orders that have been delivered to the school will be handed out sometime during the week commencing 22nd November

Swimming
Please see below a further update from Swimwell Teaching Services:
"Good morning
We had a meeting with the school and share holders this week and can now update you with more details.
The electric report is back and the work that needs doing will take around three weeks However the school have commissioned a fulll structural report on the building to take place in half term.
The shareholders of Swimwell have decided that they do not want to start the work on the electrics until the other report is back as any work flagged up may not be tenable.
Therefore with agreement with both sides we have deceived to remain closed until the new year.
For everyone concerned this is very disappointing however the safety of everyone has to come first.
Thanks again for all your support and hopefully we will be up and running again I the new year."
As previously mentioned, when the situation at Swimwell is clearer we will look at solutions regarding payments already received. We are reluctant to book an alternative until we have further information as this would incur further cost to parents i.e. coaches. At this point, so close to the New Year we are looking into 'catch up lessons' when the pool reopens.
Activity Clubs
Activity clubs are NOT on week commencing 8th November, and start back week commencing 15th November all being well. We will be in touch if they are NOT on.
Linden Football
On Thursday, the Linden boys played at home against Tredworth. After a hard battle, the boys unfortunately lost 2-0. Unlucky boys, we go again!
TT Rockstars competition
For Maths Week England we want to make maths exciting and high profile in our school. Children in Key Stage 2 will be taking part in a friendly competition involving schools from England from Monday 8th November to Thursday 11th November. It’s all done online via play.ttrockstars.com.
For every correct answer to a multiplication or division question, your child will earn their class a point. The Times Tables Rock Stars platform will calculate the class average (the number of correct answers per pupil in the class who play during the competition hours, subject to a daily 60-minute limit (see below)). Winning classes in the school and in the competition as a whole will be the ones with the highest average.
All game modes (Gig, Garage, Studio, etc.) will count but only from games played between 7:30AM GMT and 7:30PM GMT on Monday 8th, Tuesday 9th, Wednesday 10th and Thursday 11th. To support player wellbeing, there is a daily time limit of 60 minutes per player. In other words, each player can earn competition points for up to 60 minutes between 7.30am and 7.30pm. Once the player goes beyond 60 minutes of play on a given day, they will still earn coins but will no longer earn points towards the competition.
In the spirit of the competition, please don’t play on their behalf but by all means encourage and support them to the extent that it doesn’t cause high stress levels or impact on family plans. We suggest a limit of half an hour a day outside school hours – some will play more, some will play less.
Thank you for your support.
Odd Sock Day - Anti Bullying Week
Anti-Bullying Week 2021
Linden Primary School are taking part in Anti-Bullying Week 2021, which is happening from Monday 15th – Friday 19th November and has the theme ‘One Kind Word’. Across the week, the children will be taking part in activities that highlight how important kindness is and how little acts of consideration can brighten the lives of people around us.
We will kick start Anti-Bullying Week on Monday 15th November with an Odd Sock Day! On this day we are asking the children to come to school wearing odd socks. As well as being a bit of fun, this event is to celebrate what makes us unique as part of Anti-Bullying Week.
Best Pet in Odd Socks Competition
During Anti-Bullying Week the Anti-Bullying Alliance are holding a competition for the best pet in odd socks. All you have to do is share a photo or video of your pet in odd socks on Twitter or Instagram and use the hashtags #OddSocksDay #PetsInOddSocks and tag @ ABAonline @AndyOddSock during Anti-Bullying Week. They will share their favourite three each day of Anti-Bullying Week with the final round on the last day of Anti-Bullying Week.
We would love you to share any pet photos with us here at Linden too! @LindenPrimary
