Dear Parents and Carers,

Welcome back!  It has been fantastic to see all of the children back in school this week, enjoying the sunshine and enjoying being able to be back together.  We have been so proud and pleased with the excitement, positive attitudes and behaviour the children have displayed on their return to school.  I would also like to welcome our new to Reception parents and families; we have been amazed at how well the children have come into school and  we are looking forward to getting to know them all over the coming weeks.

This term is always a busy one, please keep an eye on your emails and the Schoolzine App for notifications, updates messages and any key dates will always be added to our newsletters.

The Stars of the Week for week ending 10th September:

All Children

All Reception to Year 6 pupils are eligible to receive the Flu vaccination through the NHS and they will be visiting us on Wednesday 29th September, Thursday 30th September and Friday 1st October to administer the vaccination through a nasal spray.

Children will be bringing home information and consent forms. Please could you complete and return the form, to express your preference if you would like your child to receive or not to receive the innoculation. We need to know your preference either way and appreciate the timescales are short but we will need these back as soon as possible.

Reception

We use the Read Write Inc. scheme to teach phonics in school. In order to keep you informed about the strategies we are using we will be holding an information session for parents/ carers. The meeting will be held on Tuesday the 21^st September at 2:30pm in the school hall. It will last around 30 minutes and resources and information will be available to look at.

A letter will be coming home with your child regarding secondary school choices.  You will need to make your choices by the closing date of 31st October.

Photo / Filming Permissions

How we capture your consent has changed for ALL children in the school.

We also need consent for your child to take part in the professional class photos we have done each year - so its very important you take time to consider the permissions you give us below (& you can change your mind at any time). Please note, if we don't receive a form from you, we will continue with the current permissions we have on file. If we have never received a form from you then your child's photo/ clip will not be included in anything.
