Good afternoon all.
We have made it to the end of Lockdown 3.0 – a massive well done to everyone. I’d like to thank you all for your support and ongoing cooperation, the children for their hard work (at home and in-school) and all Linden Primary staff for being the best team EVER! Let’s keep our fingers crossed that this is the last time we have to go through this.
It has been lovely to see all of the children, both at home and in school, sharing World Book Day and I hope that the children have enjoyed the day. I know that I enjoyed coming to school in my onesie! Now we look forward to Monday and we are all so excited to see everyone and have the school full again. As I communicated last week, our ways of working and how school will run, will revert back to how it was before Christmas – full uniform, our children and staff (where possible) will remain in bubbles and the staggering of the start/end of the day, playtimes and lunchtimes will still happen. Please see the following key reminders.
Staggered Starts and Finishes:
|
Drop Off |
Collection |
Siblings |
8:45 – 8:55am |
3:00-3:10pm |
All individual children |
8:50 – 9:00am |
3:05 – 3:15pm |
** Please park sensibly and safely on the roads around the school site**
**Breakfast and after school club to resume - please see the SZapp**
Please can I remind you that anyone over the age of 11 years (unless exempt) must wear a mask on the school site during drop off and pick up and for all parents to adhere to social distancing rules, not to congregate in the playground or outside of the school gates and that, where possible, only one person drops off and picks up. We are continuing to ask parents to communicate with the school office via email and phone unless it is an emergency. This all worked really well during the Autumn Term and meant that there was no congestion in and around the school site.
Finally, I would like to remind you all that although schools are fully opening, the lockdown restrictions still apply. We have seen an increase in groups of children from Linden congregating in and around the local area after school. As a school community, we have done so well in keeping the transmission of COVID-19 virus low and we must hang in there, continue to keep each other safe and adhere to the governments road map. Please see the following government guidance:
https://www.gov.uk/guidance/national-lockdown-stay-at-home
You will find all previous correspondence on SchoolZine and on the website and as always, if you have any questions please ask.
I hope that you all have a lovely weekend.
Best wishes
Lucy Collins

Monday, Reception children came into school and noticed someone or something had invaded our room, it was a complete mess! Mrs Pope had called the police and PCSO Chris asked us to be police officers and investigate what had happened. We looked for clues and made notes of what we found. We collected evidence to send off to PCSO Chris and figured that it was Aliens who love underpants that had come to see if we had any pants!

IMPORTANT
In preparation for your child’s return to school please can you ensure the school is provided with in date medicines where required, for example asthma inhalers, diabetic supplies, allergy medication/anti-histamines, clearly labelled with your child's name. These will be stored securely in school.
Please remember not to enter the school building unless it is an emergency or unless you have a pre-arranged appointment in which case you must wear a face covering. This is to protect you as well as school staff.
If your child is to be collected by someone other than yourself, please inform the school office. For safeguarding purposes, we will not be able to release your child from the classroom unless we have parental permission.
Great news! Competition deadline extended!
We would like to mark the day by wearing something red!
This year we will be accepting donations via Parentpay to reduce the need for handling cash payments. The minimum donation is £1.
