Good afternoon all.
I’d like to start with a massive thank you - before half term, you were so generous with the collection of Harvest goods. The Gloucester Food Bank and Gloucester Feed the Hungry were extremely thankful for your kind donations. During these times of hardship, it is wonderful to see such community spirit.
The first two weeks back have been busy. For Remembrance Day this week, children across the school observed a silence and enjoyed learning about service and sacrifice. It was lovely to hear some of the children talking about the impact that an event from so long ago has had on them. In addition, our Children in Need ‘break the rules day’ has been a massive success and we have loved hearing the positive feedback from children and parents. It has a been a fantastically fun way to end our week.
Attendance at school this week has been great - well done everyone! Can I please remind parents that the school gates will be locked at 9:05am and any children arriving after this point will be marked as late. Likewise, at the end of the day all children who are not booked into Wraparound Care provision must be collected from their designated point by 3:15pm.
I wish you all a happy and safe weekend.
Best wishes

Year 6
We have been working hard to complete our first ‘quizzes’ of the year and the year 6 team have been so impressed with how hard they have worked over the week! In science, we have begun to learn about electricity and even created our own circuits with no help from a teacher! In geography, we analysed a local map to find points of interest!
Key Stage 2 - Gloucestershire Rocks
This week, KS2 have been taking part in the 'Gloucestershire Rocks' TT Rockstars competition as part of Maths Week England. As of Friday morning, Linden were in the lead for overall school score and Class 14 were the leaders for Gloucestershire. Even more impressively, Cohen from Class 14 is the top scorer in the county with an incredible 56,199 points!
The tournament finishes at 19:30 on Saturday evening. While we hope we can maintain our lead, we are delighted with all the children's hard work regardless of the final outcome. Well done Linden!
We raised a whopping £232.66! Thank you all so very much!
Class 4
We have had lots of fun breaking the rules in Class 4 today, especially eating our chocolate bars at snack time! We also started the morning by taking part in the last 15 minutes of Joe Wicks doing his 24 hour PE session. Throughout the day in year 1, we have been completing various Pudsey themed activities and we have also been challenged to 'act our age' every hour. So whenever our timer goes off, we need to complete a randomly chosen activity (jump, hop, spin etc) as many times as our age.

Odd Socks Day
Is organised by the Anti-Bullying Alliance which is a group of organisations, charities and individuals who work together to try and stop bullying.
All your child needs to do is wear odd socks into school! It's a great way to celebrate what makes us all unique in Anti-Bullying Week! It will be held Monday 16th November 2020, the first day of Anti-Bullying Week.
Flu immunisation
As you are aware the Flu Immunisation Team will be at school in December. It is important that you consent or decline the flu vaccination via the online consent form. A failure to do this will result in further contact from the Immunisation Team to ensure that you have received the offer of vaccination. The vaccination is a quick and simple spray up the nose
If you haven't already, you can complete the form online via this link:
The School Office have spare copies if needed - email [email protected] and we will arrange to send a copy home with your child.
Self Isolating Children
Please can we remind you that if you have children in isolation (for example, due to secondary school closure) they should not attend pick up / collection at our school to reduce transmission risk of Covid-19 to all.
Wraparound Care
Bookings are closed at the moment. Please be aware that the dates and times bookings open and close are on a tile on the SZapp. Bookings cannot be taken outside of these times. Please email [email protected] with any queries.

Help us to fundraise with Dixie Dot Crafts
As you are aware Covid has affected our ability to fundraise this year which is why we are pleased to be working in conjunction with a local business Dixie Dot Crafts.
Dixie Dot is based in Quedgeley and offers a wide range of gifts and lovely things, from personalised pottery painted items to bath bombs to craft kits. For every order that is placed through the website (www.dixiedotcrafts.com) between now and 31st December 2020, 10% will be donated back to our school to kickstart the fundraising into 2021.
Our Unique code is LINDEN2020. Please do share this with all your family and friends so they can purchase Christmas gifts and craft projects through Dixie Dot while helping our school. Thank you in advance for your support!
