Welcome back. I trust you all had a happy and peaceful break. I would like to take this opportunity on behalf of all the staff to thank you for all the wonderful cards and gifts we received at the end of last term. We were all very touched.
A new term and a new year. A time that holds so much promise. As Linden Primary continues to grow and thrive we will be reflecting on our successes so that we may build on them further. This term we start our new approach to positive behaviour and I would like to thank those who attended the parent meetings this week, I hope you found them useful. You will be receiving a behaviour blueprint which outlines our new approach to behaviour and you will be informed when the full positive behaviour policy is available. Please contact myself or Mr Alex Brown if you have any further questions.
This term also marks the beginning of some exciting changes to our curriculum. Following the letter sent at the end of last term by Mr Wellington, your child will be bringing home a ‘knowledge organiser’ for this term’s unit of learning. Please take time to read through and discuss with your child.
Can I please remind you to ensure that the office have your correct contact details. If you are unsure, please have a chat with one of the office staff.
As always, if you have any questions or concerns please make an appointment to see me through the school office.
Kind regards
Lucy Collins
Headteacher
- On Thursday after school, the Linden Football team played against Widden Primary School at home. It was a tough battle in some very challenging weather conditions and we had so many chances. We managed to draw 3-3 in a very entertaining game. Well done boys!
- Activity Clubs start from Monday 13th July - online bookings have closed via the SZApp however message went out via SchoolZine to advise which clubs have a few spaces left. You can now book a second place for your child - first come, first served, bookings via email please to [email protected]. Please make sure you select an appropriate club for your child's year group.
- If you are not receiving SchoolZine messages it may be that you have changed your email address. The school's database (SIMS) syncs your email information over to SchoolZine. Therefore the email address we hold for you on SIMS needs to be the email address you use to log into SchoolZine.
- Please can you ensure your child has warm PE kit, such as jogging bottoms and a hoodie. Whenever possible PE will take place outdoors even though it's still a bit chilly.
- Thank you all so much for all the kind donations of toy, games and books for our Positive Playtimes. We aren't able to take any more at the moment while we go through what you have generously given.
