decide upon some key changes that could be made to ensure that all children gain the required knowledge and skills needed across all areas and subjects. Please see the attached letter from Mr Wellington and more information will be given throughout the Spring term.
Lastly, as I reflect on my first year as Headteacher, I would personally like to thank

have a fantastic Christmas!
Best wishes

CINDERELLA PANTOMIME
Year 1 had an amazing time watching Cinderella. They especially enjoyed seeing Buttons and the ugly step sisters - they were very funny! All the children got involved singing, clapping, booing and cheering which was fantastic to see.
VISIT TO THE POST BOX
Year 1 had a visit from Postman Luke who explained to them what it was like to be a postman
and how post/ parcels get delivered. Postman Luke also bought Year 1 a letter which has Father Christmas's address in. The children wrote fantastic letters to Santa then went to the post box to post them.
YEAR 5s VISITOR
On Monday 9th December 2019, Year 5 had the privilege of having a reporter from BBC Radio Gloucestershire in to talk to us about what it is like to be a reporter. We got to ask lots of fantastic questions and heard lots of wonderful stories.

WESTBOURNE CARE HOME VISIT
On the afternoon of Wednesday 11th December, the members of choir club went to
Westbourne Care Home on Robinswood Hill to share some festive spirit with our
local community. When we arrived, the children happily chatted away to the residents while everything was set up ready for them to sing and more and more residents squeezed into the room. After dragging some children away from their in depth conversations, the children sang lots of Christmas classics to their audience,
many of whom sang along with a smile on their face.
and the school very proud. Well done to all!

Uniform Reminder
At Linden, we feel that the uniform provides the children with a common identity and a sense of belonging to a community. Children should wear sensible shoes that they can run and play in. Clothing with brand labels and logos is not considered appropriate for use at school. All clothes should be clearly labelled with your child’s name.
Uniform:
Red sweatshirts or cardigans, plain or with school logo
White shirts (polo or traditional)
Plain dark grey or black jogging bottoms (for younger children)
Plain dark grey or black trousers (Years 3 and above are encouraged to wear traditional trousers)
Plain grey or black shorts (for summer)
Grey or black pinafore or skirt
Red and white checked or striped dresses (for summer)
Red, white or grey socks or tights
Red Book Bag with school logo
Plain black or shoes or boots (in winter) that they can safely run and play in
PE Kit:
Black shorts
White t-shirt or polo-shirt
Black daps or trainers
PE bag
Plain grey or black tracksuit bottoms/sweatshirt and trainers for outdoor PE in cold weather
Hair
Please support us in our attempts to keep primary aged children from missing out on childhood. Keep hair styles suitable for children under 11. We suggest not too short, no Mohicans or engravings and no added colour. There is lots of time for rebellion in the teenage years.
