It has been another busy week! Monday began with the whole school joining together for Armistice Day. The children enjoyed an afternoon of art, creating fantastic poppy and Rememberance pieces.

I would like to thank all of the children for embracing Odd Sock Day on Tuesday - the
range of socks was amazing! In classes children had discussions on 'making a change' and how they could make a change to support anti-bullying.

We have ended the week on a high with Children in Need day. A day in our pyjamas was welcomed by staff and children - photos to follow. Thank you for all your donations.

Halloween Stay & Play

It was nice to see so many families turn up for the Halloween Stay & Play through the half-term break. Thank you to everyone who attended and the effort that you all made with the Halloween Outfits. We think everyone had a great time, especially with the pumpkin carving!

Rememberance Day

The children had an assembly to remind them of the significance of this day and why we wear a red poppy. They spent the afternoon created beautiful pieces of art to commemorate the day.

Year 2 Visit to the Docks

To help us understand about Human and Physical Geography, we took a trip to Gloucester Docks to see where the canal meets the river. Did you know that Gloucster Docks is the further in-land port in the country? The area is full of amazing history and we had lots of conversations about our learning in Geography.

In English recently, we have been writing reports about Gloucester. We could spot some of the things we have written about already, such as Gloucester Cathedral and the amazing architecture. Now, we will also be ready to write about what we have learnt about the docks.

SPORTS

We had two netball matches against Barnwood Park School and Calton Primary recently - the team worked really well together but we lost both matches.

*Please ensure when booking WrapAround care (Breakfast and Afterschool) that you are emailing [email protected] so that we can keep a record of your booking. Pleaseremember that sessions should be paid for in advance.

*Your child should not be on the school premises unaccompanied before 8.45am. We
provide a breakfast club from 7.30am for a small charge if you need to drop off earlier.

*If someone else is collecting your child - we need you as the parent to inform us to
ensure we are keeping your child safe.

*Year 3 will be having a catch up swim on 3rd December for the one they missed due to a problem with the swimming pool

Friday 13th December - Uniform Shop and Christmas Cake Sale.

Tuesday 17th/Wednesday 18th December - We will be selling refreshments
at the KS2 Carol Concerts.
