Happy half term!!
I would like to begin by sharing how impressed we all were with the maturity with which our Year 6’s approached their SATs last week – a massive well done to all the children, they are superstars! It was lovely to be part of the Year 6 auditions this morning for their upcoming production of ‘Beauty & The Beast’. The children were so brave and it looks set to be another fantastic end of year production. Next half term will be the Phonics Screening Check for Year 1 and the Multiplication Tables Check for Year 4, as well as parent End of Year Reports.
Next term is always jam packed with events, including on-site swimming lessons for Year 2, 3 and 6, our Key Stage 1 and 2 Sports Days (fingers crossed for sunshine and no rain), New to Reception Parent Meeting, the Year 6 Residential, Year 5 Bikeability, our whole-school ‘move-up’ afternoon and Art week and exhibition. Please keep an eye on our diary dates.
As we return for our final 7 weeks of the academic year, we have all got our fingers crossed for the re-appearance of some sunshine and warmer weather - please can you ensure your children have named hats, a named drink bottle (no glass or fizzy drinks, please) and either have their sun cream applied in the morning before school or are able to apply it to themselves when in school. Can I also please remind parents to ensure that children are coming into school on their P.E days in correct kit:
- Plain grey or black shorts
- Plain white t-shirt or polo-shirt - no logos
- Black daps
- Plain grey or black tracksuit bottoms - no logos
- Plain grey or black sweatshirt - no logos
- Trainers for outdoor PE
I wish you all a wonderful half term break and we look forward to seeing the children back in school on Monday 2nd June 2025.

EYFS Forest School Stay and Play session
EYFS had great fun on Tuesday at our Forest School based stay and play, thank you to all who were able to join us!
Year 1 Visit from Ribston High School
The Year 1 children had a visit from Ribston High School pupils this week. The Year 8 pupils had made a book for each of the children based on their personal interests. The children had a great time sharing their books in the sunshine.
